Congress

The annual ESMINT Congress grows year by year. The goal of the conference is to facilitate discussions between neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons, neurologists and sister scientists about indications, strategies, techniques, complications and morbi-mortality in Vascular Interventional Neuroradiology, and to provide information on new technologies and practices.

Attendees also receive the results from studies, both ongoing and completed. Additionally, we wish to stimulate debates and controversial opinions based on case discussions, operators' experience and the results of most recent studies.

GET INVOLVED! ESMINT is not a typical formal congress. Send us your ideas for subjects you would like us to cover and help us design the program. We want this meeting to open our minds, enlarge our knowledge and eventually influence our practice.

3rd ESMINT Congress, Nice 2011

Members can view the presentations and a selection of the photos from the 2011 Congress here.

The 3rd ESMINT Congress was held in Nice, France, in the Acropolis Convention Centre from 8-11 September 2011. In 2009, there were 271 participants, 329 in 2010 and 408 from 51 countries in 2011. I would like to thank all the faculty members and attendees for their support and active participation. Thanks to you, the Congress was very successful and filled with interesting discussions and debates.

I worked with Alfredo Casasco, Congress President, and on your behalf wish to thank him for all his hard work. In hindsight, we agree that the program was perhaps too densely populated with lectures and presentations and did not leave enough time for discussion of cases and controversies.

Next year, the ESMINT Congress will take place in Nice from 6-8 September 2012. Edoardo Boccardi has accepted the role of President. I will remain Co-President and Alfredo Casaco will help us as Past-President. We are planning a program that includes greater emphasis on treatment indications, strategies, techniques, complications and morbi-mortality. It will be based on case discussions, operators' experience and results of the most recent studies.

We invite you to propose any subject you would like to discuss!
We invite you to help us in designing the program!
Please don’t hesitate to participate!

We look forward to the 2012 meeting opening our minds, enlarging our knowledge and ultimately influencing our practice. For more information visit the ESMINT Congress Web Site.
