A European exchange program for neurointerventional fellows and early attendings, offering 10 days of immersion in partner departments – to learn, connect, and grow together.
What is NeuroXChange?
NeuroXChange is a new ESMINT initiative by EYMINT designed for young interventional neuroradiologists (< 40 years, fellows or early attendings up to 2 years).
The program connects two participants from different European institutions for a 10-day immersive exchange in each other’s departments. You will:
- Observe diverse procedural techniques & workflows
- Participate in clinical rounds and multidisciplinary meetings
- Gain insights into research projects and patient management strategies
- Build lasting collaborations across Europe

Grant & Support
Selected participants will receive an ESMINT NeuroXChange grant to support travel and accommodation expenses during the 10-day exchange.
- Travel costs: round-trip airfare or train within Europe
- Accommodation: up to 14 days in the host city (hotel or institutional guesthouse)
- One-time award: the grant can only be received once per participant
Note: Hosting institutions are expected to provide access to clinical activities, but hosting fees are not covered.
Timeline – First Cycle
- Application Period: 1 Sept – 31 Oct 2025
- Review & Matching: Nov – Dec 2025
- Final Selection & Notification: Dec 2025
- Pre-Exchange Preparation: Jan – Feb 2026
- Immersion Period: Mar – Jun 2026
- Report Submission: Within 4 weeks after exchange
- Experience Sharing: ESMINT Congress 2026
How to apply?
Applications are possible in two ways:
- Paired Application (Self-Matching): Two eligible members independently identify each other and apply together.
- Individual Application (Committee-Matched): Applicants apply individually and will be matched by the EYMINT Committee based on interests, language, and institutional capacity.
Application Documents:
- Agreement letter signed by both department heads
- Recommendation letter from each applicant’s supervisor
- Motivation letter of both applicants
- CV in English
- Copy of passport/ID
