About the Skills Training

Skills Training is a hands-on course where we use in vitro models and simulators. A wide range of devices from nearly all companies involved in neurointerventions is available, allowing participants to gain a comprehensive understanding of various therapy options and exposure to different techniques and materials.

Skills Training Collage

As part of the course, all participants must complete online lectures (technical instructions for each hands-on station) prior to the training in Amsterdam. Additionally, we will incorporate case discussions during the course, as suggested by many trainees in previous sessions. Each participant is encouraged to bring an interesting case for discussion (short PowerPoint presentation).

The program content is specified by ESMINT and aligned with the ECMINT courses to ensure the practical application of theoretical knowledge.

Tutors are experienced neuro-interventionalists from the ESMINT faculty. Additionally, representatives from the educational and engineering departments of partner companies will be present. Groups of up to six participants will be supervised by one tutor.

The ESMINT Skills Training in Amsterdam, Netherlands, will apply for accredditation by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®). The ESMINT Skills Training 2.1. Amsterdam, Netherlands, 26/05/2025 – 27/05/2025 organized by ESMINT (European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy) has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) for a maximum of 14.0 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).

What past participants say

“It was great to be able to gain experience with multiple tools from different vendors in a stress-free environment and under guidance from experienced faculty members!”

“Signing up was the best decision I ever made. I consider this training crucial for neurointerventions.”

“I thought the training wouldn’t influence me that much – only provide me with a bit of hands-on experience without endangering patients’ lives. I found out I was wrong. Totally wrong. On top of everything, I gained a freedom of choice in handling a stroke I didn’t possess before. A heartfelt thanks to all the organizers and teachers!”

“Great experience that boosted my knowledge and skills. Wonderful to know the mentors of the course and hear their precious advice.”
