Liz Derow is Director of Education at ESMINT, where she leads the Society’s educational portfolio and contributes to its international collaborations and external relations.
Since joining ESMINT in 2020, she has worked across a broad range of strategic and operational initiatives, including educational programmes, international partnerships, governance, and Congress planning. Her approach combines careful organisation with a strong focus on building relationships and creating sustainable processes that enable others to succeed.
Prior to joining ESMINT, Liz worked at the University of Oxford and the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS). Earlier in her career, she founded and ran her own business organising and teaching yoga workshops throughout Europe and Southeast Asia.
Liz holds a BA and a Master’s degree in French. Having lived in three countries before the age of nine and spent much of her adult life working internationally, she brings a global outlook, cultural sensitivity, and a collaborative approach to her work.
