One of ESMINT’s most popular educational formats is taking centre stage at the ESMINT Congress 2026. For the first time, the Case Forum will be presented as a live congress session, bringing challenging neurointerventional cases directly to the audience in Marseille.

Real cases. Different perspectives. Open discussion. These have always been at the heart of the Case Forum. This year, for the first time, the conversation moves from the familiar online format to the ESMINT Congress, creating a new opportunity for colleagues to exchange ideas and discuss challenging cases face to face.

The idea behind the format is simple: bring interesting cases together with experienced colleagues and create space for discussion. Not to find the one “correct” answer, but to explore different ways of thinking, decision-making and problem-solving in everyday neurointerventional practice.

ESMINT Congress
Live Discussion. Real Cases. Shared Experience.

The session opens with challenging clinical scenarios presented by the moderators before continuing with three cases selected from this year’s case submissions. Each case is an invitation to discuss different treatment strategies, share experience and learn from one another. Whether you agree, disagree or would have chosen a completely different approach, your perspective is part of what makes the discussion valuable.

If you enjoy sessions that go beyond prepared lectures and encourage genuine exchange between colleagues, this is one not to miss.

The discussion will be led by Christophe Cognard, Jan-Hendrik Buhk, and Maria Berndt-Mück, who will guide the audience through the cases and invite different perspectives throughout the session.

The session is open to all ESMINT Congress participants. There is no need to register in advance, simply take a seat in the EYMINT/ETMINT Session Room and join the discussion. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis.

We look forward to seeing you in Marseille on Friday, 4 September 2026, from 10:30 to 12:30. Find the session in the ESMINT Congress Online Programme.
