At the ESMINT Congress 2026 in Marseille, we were delighted to celebrate those who earned the European Diploma in Neurointervention (EDNI) and European Diploma in Ischemic Stroke Intervention (EDSI) this year.
We warmly congratulate all our 2026 diploma awardees – both those who joined us in Marseille to receive their diplomas and those who were unable to attend – and wish them every success as they continue their careers.
EDNI: A theoretical qualification in the full neurointerventional curriculum
The European Diploma in Neurointervention (EDNI) is a formal examination recognising theoretical knowledge across the full spectrum of neurointerventions. It is open to eligible graduates of the ECMINT course and consists of two parts: a written examination and a viva.
This year, a total of 39 candidates passed both parts of the examination and were awarded the EDNI.
EDSI: A theoretical qualification in ischaemic stroke intervention
Successful graduates of the EXMINT course are eligible to sit the examination for the European Diploma in Ischaemic Stroke Intervention (EDSI), which assesses theoretical knowledge relating to the neurointerventional treatment of ischaemic stroke.
This year, a total of 52 candidates passed the examination and were awarded the EDSI.
Celebrating our top scorers
The EDNI and EDSI diploma award ceremonies at ESMINT Congress 2025 celebrated the achievements of our candidates who have shown exceptional dedication to their professional development. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of them.
Every year, a ‘Half Brain’ trophy is awarded to the top scorer in each of the EDNI and EDSI written examinations. The half brain represents the fact that theoretical education is only one part of professional development: theory must be complemented by putting that knowledge into practice.
