ESMINT is sad to announce that we received the terrible news that our beloved colleague Ronie Leo Piske from Sao Paulo, Brasil, died on Monday September 9th.
Ronie was a soft spoken, skilled, well known and very well respected colleague that trained in the early days of our specialty with Pierre Lasjaunias in Paris. He regularly attended our conferences and was a supporting member of the ESMINT society, which was underscored by the fact his application for the membership 2019-2020 reached us only a couple of weeks ago.
We wish his wife Lia and all his family and loved ones all the strength and our thoughts are with them. Ronie, we will miss you, Saravá!
