The WIN Committee of ESMINT invites you to participate in a special project for International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8, 2025. In collaboration with the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS), we aim to celebrate the incredible women who are shaping the field of neurointervention worldwide.

We encourage all female ESMINT Members to contribute to this video project, which will be shared on ESMINT and SNIS social media platforms on March 8. Your participation will help highlight the vital role women play in advancing neurointervention across the globe.

How You Can Participate

There are two ways to contribute to this project, and you can choose to do one or both. Please note that, depending on the number of submissions, we may not be able to include all content.

1. Submit Photos

Share photos showcasing women in neurointervention “in action” – whether in the angio lab, working with colleagues, or attending a conference.

2. Record a Short Selfie Video

Record a brief video (1–2 sentences) answering one or both of the following questions. We will add English subtitles, or you can provide them yourself:

  • What’s one thing you would say to the next generation of women entering neurointervention?
  • What’s one word that defines your experience as a neurointerventionalist and why?

How to Submit Your Content

  • For Photos: Email your photo to win@esmint.eu, naming your file in the format firstname-lastname. In the email, please include your name, preferred title, and hospital affiliation (short version).
  • For Videos: Upload your video via this link (no login required).

Submit your video

Deadline

Please submit your content by Monday, February 24, 2025.

Tips for Recording Your Video

  • Record facing a window for the best natural lighting. Avoid standing with your back to the window as it will darken your video.
  • Ensure a quiet environment to avoid background noise while recording.
  • Hold your phone vertically and avoid zooming in. You can prop your phone up or hold it in selfie mode.

We look forward to seeing your contributions and thank you for being part of this celebration of women in neurointervention!
