The 18th ESMINT Congress will once again take place in Marseille, bringing our community together in a city that has become a familiar and inspiring setting for scientific exchange.

Under the leadership of Congress President Prof. Dr. Franziska Dorn, Deputy Director and Head of Neurointervention at University Hospital Bonn, this year’s motto captures the core of our shared mission:

Connecting minds, improving lives.

In a time of rapid technological evolution, emerging treatment strategies, and expanding interdisciplinary collaboration, this motto reflects a simple but essential truth: innovation flourishes when expertise meets exchange – and when our collective effort focuses on advancing patient care.

The idea behind the motto: Progress through collaboration

As Prof. Dorn emphasises, neurointervention thrives on close cooperation. Whether in clinical practice, research, imaging, or device development, meaningful progress comes from shared perspectives, constructive dialogue, and a willingness to learn from one another.

The 2026 Congress invites participants to:

  • exchange ideas openly,
  • collaborate across specialties and borders,
  • engage with partners from development and industry, and
  • work together on solutions that push our field forward.

This collaborative spirit is what transforms innovation into real improvements for patients.
