Invitation to Participate in Survey on Prestroke Disability and Dementia
Dear ESMINT members and friends,
Dear Colleagues,
Our team at the University of Calgary, led by Dr. Aravind Ganesh, is conducting an online survey on approaches to stroke care for people living with dementia or disability. We would like to invite fellows and physicians in independent practice, involved in any aspects of acute stroke management and post-stroke rehabilitation, to take part.
We want to gain a better understanding of physicians’ diverse perspectives on this topic, and how they make treatment decisions in their day-to-day clinical practice. As such, we welcome input from physicians regardless of their level of expertise in dementia and/or disability assessment. Survey questions will be tailored to respondents’ indicated practice context.
Participation in this survey is completely voluntary.
The collected data will potentially be used to inform the design of a clinical trial to optimize acute stroke management for people living with dementia or disability.
The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete.
On completing the survey, respondents will be offered an Amazon electronic gift card valued at 50 CAD. Alternatively, there will be an option to donate 50 CAD to the World Stroke Organization.

The University of Calgary Conjoint Health Research Ethics Board approved this study (REB23-1712).
Thank you for your participation!
