About the speakers & moderators

Our distinguished speakers and moderators bring together a wealth of clinical expertise and personal experience to provide valuable insights.

Rebecca Middleton

Rebecca Middleton is the founder and CEO of Hereditary Brain Aneurysm Support (HBA Support), a UK first patient centred charity supporting families and individuals living with brain aneurysms.

She founded HBA Support after losing her mum and grandmother to brain aneurysms and being diagnosed with one herself that was eventually treated endovascularly. Through her diagnosis she faced a lack of balanced information and support. HBA Support now supports patients and families through their diagnosis, is a patient partner in world leading research into brain aneurysms and the genetics of the disease, works with UK policy officials to improve care pathways and works hard to raise awareness of the condition and its life-changing impact.

As a PR and Communications Director with over 20 years of international experience, a former broadcast journalist, and an experienced patient advocate, Rebecca also brings her strategic communications view to her work, as well as her lived experience as a brain aneurysms patient and mum of two young girls.

Prof. Christophe Cognard

Prof. Christophe Cognard is the Chairman of the Department of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Neuroradiology, University Hospitals Purpan and Rangueil since Dec. 2002 at University Paul Sabatier of Toulouse, France. Prof. Christophe Cognard will also moderate the session.

Prof. Dr. Jan-Hendrik Buhk
