On Monday, 15 June from 5 PM – 6 PM CEST, ESMINT and ESO invite you to a joint webinar on Current status of MMA embolization for SDH – and now also for migraine?.
The webinar will be moderated by Prof. Jan-Hendrik Buhk (Germany) on behalf of ESMINT and María Hernández Pérez (Badalona, Spain) on behalf of ESO. Expert insights will be provided by Dr. Matthias Bechstein (Hamburg, Germany) and Prof. Anne Hege Aamodt (Oslo, Norway).
Why attend?
This webinar will review the current clinical role of middle meningeal artery (MMA) embolization in the management of chronic subdural hematoma, with a focus on patient selection, procedural concepts, emerging evidence, and integration into interdisciplinary treatment pathways.
Building on the vascular and dural mechanisms underlying this treatment concept, the webinar will also explore the emerging and still experimental idea of MMA embolization for migraine.
Join us for a clinically oriented overview of established indications, open questions, and future perspectives for this rapidly evolving field.
What you will learn
- Current evidence and ongoing studies on MMA embolization for chronic subdural hematoma
- The role of MMA embolization within contemporary treatment strategies and interdisciplinary care pathways
- Key considerations regarding patient selection, timing, and procedural aspects
- Novel and still experimental applications, including the potential role of MMA embolization for migraine
Interactive live webinar
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions live during the session via the online chat. A recording of the webinar will also be available after the event.
