The Kantonsspital Aarau, Switzerland is looking for a Director of Neuroradiology. A full-time, permanent position.
The neuroradiology department at KSA offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services at all levels of complexity. The Neuro Center is one of the major institutions of its kind, characterized by high expertise and close clinical and academic collaboration among the three disciplines.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for leading a modern equipped department both professionally and in terms of personnel, operating on contemporary clinical, scientific, and economic principles. You strategically develop your department and, together with your team, ensure a competitive department with a wide range of tasks, including those in highly specialized medicine (HSM).
You provide excellent patient care and actively contribute to the existing HSM projects of “treatment of complex vascular anomalies of the central nervous system” and “complex treatment of strokes.” Ensuring cooperation with internal and external partners in accordance with KSA’s strategy is an integral part of your role. You promote the training and further education of resident and senior physicians, as well as clinical research in the field of neuro radiology and interdisciplinary fields at KSA.
Your profile
You have a Swiss medical diploma or an equivalent foreign qualification recognized by MEBEKO, and you hold a specialist title in Radiology with a focus on invasive Neuroradiology. You have extensive successful professional experience and the expertise required for background services in invasive Neuroradiology. You meet all the requirements for the recognition of the Neuro Radiology Department at KSA as an HSM service provider, particularly in terms of the Neuroradiology department being “fully recognized” as a training facility for invasive Neuroradiology and your habilitation. You fulfill all the prerequisites for leading the training facilities in the field of diagnostic and invasive Neuroradiology.
You have several years of leadership experience in a university hospital or tertiary care center. You have a solid understanding of the Swiss healthcare system and possess a good professional network. Additional qualifications in management, business administration, organization, and leadership complement your profile. You are a team player with strong social skills and operate in an inclusive and innovative manner in your role. You are actively involved in the training and further education of resident physicians and specialists. Excellent German language skills complete your personal profile.
