Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues,
I am honoured to welcome you to the 15th Congress of the European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy (ESMINT) to be held in Marseille, France, September 4-6, 2023. The annual ESMINT Congress is one of the most important events in our specialty held around the world.
For the first time in its history, the Congress will be held this year in a venue other than Nice. We will experience our annual meeting in a spectacular, new and vibrant location and I am sure this will bring new energy and enthusiasm to our research community.
The meeting will feature a large number of plenary sessions with cutting-edge reviews by renowned experts, and will include not only fundamental and clinical research findings, but also clinical observations and case presentations with expert discussion.
Emphasis will be on the latest developments in our discipline, ranging from robotics and artificial intelligence to new devices and therapeutic options. Opinion leaders in device development will illustrate the stages of design development a device goes through before it can be brought to the market. Experts will also provide insight into the regulatory path a device must follow before it can be offered on the European market and what scenarios new legislation might entail. Prominent clinicians will report on the clinical management of neurovascular patients and how this can be the driver for the further evolution of our discipline.
In addition, the Congress will include joint sessions with our sister societies, SNIS, EANS and ESO, participant interactivity, morbi-mortality sessions, recorded cases, EYMINT educational sessions for our trainees and ETMINT sessions for nurses and technicians.
The Old Port of Marseille will be the setting for an exciting social programme including jogging and yoga sessions, as well as a networking event to be held in a stunning location.
On behalf of the Scientific Committee and myself, I look forward to welcoming you all to this event that promises to be a novelty in the life of our Society and the global neurovascular community!
With my best wishes,
Prof. Paolo Machi

ESMINT Congress 2022: CME Accreditation & Certificates
The 14th ESMINT Congress is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME® is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net.
The 14th Congress of the European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy is designated for a maximum of, or up to, 18 European CME credits (ECMEC) by the EACCME. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
The CME accreditation is valid only for the main congress programme and does not cover the industry sponsored symposia.
CME Certificates of Attendance – CME certificates will be delivered after the congress via e-mail only after completing an online evaluation. This process will take 5-10 minutes to complete and all responses will be collected anonymously. Participants received a link to the online evaluation and credit claiming after the congress. Printed certificates of attendance are not available on-site.

About the annual ESMINT Congresses
The annual ESMINT Congress is growing year by year. The goal of the conference is to facilitate interdisciplinary discussions between interventional neuroradiologists, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and scientists. These discussions refer to indications, strategies, techniques, complications, and morbi-mortality in vascular interventional neuroradiology, endovascular neurosurgery, and vascular neurology.
Moreover, the annual ESMINT Congress is to provide information on new technologies and practices. Attendees also receive the results from studies, both ongoing and completed.
Additionally, we wish to stimulate debates and controversial opinions based on case discussions, operators’ experience and the results of most recent studies.
The ESMINT Congress is a conference on interventional neuroradiology and endovascular neurosurgery. It has a strong focus on education as many ESMINT training activities. Usually, parts of the programme are compiled with partner societies with an overlapping interest in interventional neuroradiology and endovascular neurosurgery.
GET INVOLVED! ESMINT is not a typical formal congress. Send us your ideas for subjects you would like us to cover and help us design the program. We want this meeting to open our minds, enlarge our knowledge and eventually influence our practice.
