On Monday, 21 February 2022 from 5 PM – 6 PM CET, we will host the first session of the ESMINT Webinar Mini-Series on Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension.
The webinar will be moderated by Jan-Hendrik Buhk. Speakers of the ESMINT webinar are Jürgen Beck and Tomas Dobrocky.
This is a special ESMINT Webinar and is free of charge.
What is the webinar about?
The webinar mini-series will elaborate on SIH pathophysiology, neuroimaging by highlighting the value of brain MRI and provide a comprehensive guide to the diagnostic spine work-up for identifying and localizing CSF leaks. We review the three-tier therapeutic model that has been proposed for SIH, focusing on endovascular and surgical techniques.
Key message of the part 1
The quest for the CSF leak may be the fabled search for the needle in the haystack, scrutinizing the entire spine for a dural breach often the size of pin. Precisely locating the site of CSF leakage is fundamental to successful treatment.
Learning objectives of part 1
- Brain imaging findings in SIH (bSIH-score)
- Spine imaging focusing on myelography techniques
- Surgical treatment of SIH
