Overview of the latest trials in INR
Dr. Grégoire Boulouis will give an overview of the latest trials in mini-invasive neurological therapy. Dr. Boulouis is a neuro-interventionalist clinical fellow at Sainte Anne Hospital Paris, where he works under the supervision of Prof. Naggara. Before, Dr. Boulouis spent 2 years at the MGH Stroke Research Center in Boston, MA, USA investigating imaging biomarkers of acute stroke.
The learning objectives:
- First-pass effect and beyond
- Good clinical outcome decreases with multiple attempts
- Case examples
CS vs. GA in EVT of AIS
Dr. Lasse Speiser will give a review of relevant studies on the subject. EVT of AIS under GA is safe and effective if performed with dedicated neuroanesthesia.
EVT for stroke – how many retrieval attempts are enough?
Dr. Fabian Flottmann, radiologist at University Medical Center Hamburg, Germany, will share his experience on EVT for stroke. Often, more than one retrieval attempt is needed in case of persistent LVO. How many attempts should be performed before terminating the procedure?
The learning objectives:
- Learn about the latest trials in interventional neuroradiology
- Learn about ongoing trials in interventional neuroradiology
